We’ve just returned from another incredible Annual Partner Summit in the beautiful city of Hanoi, Vietnam. Along with a sumptuous feast of speakers, cultural highlights and experiences, we also announced the winners and finalists of the Centrepoint Alliance Advice Firm of the Year awards.

Now in its second year, the Centrepoint Alliance Advice Firm of the Year awards are run by Business Health, who do a fantastic job in administering and assessing all the entries. Judged by an expert panel, which included Business Health Partner - Ray Henderson, AFA CEO – Phil Kewin, CoreData Headof Market Insights – Simon Hoyle, and Centrepoint CEO – Angus Benbow, this year’s awards recognised best practice in advice firms with revenue less than $1M and advice firms with revenue in excess of $1M.

The winners

Congratulations to:

  • Financial Advice Matters Group – winner of Advice Firm of the Year (gross revenue in excess of $1M)
  • Ethica Private Wealth Specialists – winner of Advice Firm of the Year (gross revenue less than $1M)

This is an outstanding achievement for both these firms and I would like to congratulate Darren, Michael and their teams. The Centrepoint team work closely with both these firms, so it is enormously rewarding to see their success. Michael and the Ethica Private Wealth Specialists team have been part of the Centrepoint Alliance family for 15 years!

The finalists

Also to be congratulated are the finalists:

  • Citadel Wealth Solutions and Stephens Plattfuss & Co – Finalists in Advice Firm of the Year (gross revenue in excess of $1M)
  • Centaur Financial Services and Convergence Wealth Management – Finalists in Advice Firm of the Year (gross revenue less than $1M)

Stephens Plattfuss and Co Financial Services were actually the category winners of last year’s Advice Firm of the Year (gross revenue less than $1M). It’s fabulous to see them as a finalist in the gross revenue in excess of $1M category this year and is a wonderful demonstration of their success.

All these firms are worthy winners and finalists and all in their own way exemplify a forward-thinking, client-centred and entrepreneurial approach to building quality, successful financial advice businesses.

I can’t wait for next year’s awards to see how our firms grow and develop over the coming year.
